When selecting a project delivery method, you will want to keep the project design process, your company’s budget, schedule for the project, the management’s experience with similar projects, the potential exposure to risk, and how comfortable the company is taking that risk. All of these factors weigh in to project delivery method decisions for a construction project.
At Maertens-Brenny, we utilize four methods of project delivery:
This traditional project delivery method is a common approach to projects and we have extensive experience bringing architects’ and owners’ visions to fruition. We work with owners to produce value engineering solutions and thrive on complex projects where we can put our problem-solving skills to work! Our project team will ensure that your project is ready to go on time and on budget.
As a trusted construction manager, we bring our transparent approach to communications and subcontracting on projects under this contracting method. We’ll team with you during the development and design phases and transition to the general contractor during construction. Our technical expertise allows means that we have the knowledge base to streamline the construction process as we team with the owner and subcontractors.
The design-build method allows for a collaborative process as a unified design and construction team from the early stages of a project. Concurrently and continually developing the budget and schedule parallel to the design, while keeping in communication with jurisdictional authority to ensure that approvals are on time to meet the project completion target date. This method provides compression of the construction process and gives the owner more decision-making flexibility.
