Construction for the industrial and manufacturing sectors requires expert training and highly experienced workers who can manage the complexities of the facility. Maertens-Brenny brings those qualities to our clients’ projects. An industrial or manufacturing construction project is going to be a big project! Manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and distribution sites must be scalable to grow with the company and tough enough to withstand manufacturing, storage, and distribution rigors.
Maertens-Brenny builds easily maintainable structures with plenty of space for your automation equipment and storage. Industrial and manufacturing don’t need to be cold and lifeless. Because people are at the heart of every business we build for, we make sure the facilities we construct make the day-to-day working lives of those people better, safer, and more efficient.
The Green Bay Packaging project included the addition of a break/lunch room area, conference room space for the sales team to meet with clients, a display space, training room, design and printing area, testing space, flexible office space, and a major addition of manufacturing and storage space. This large-scale project occurred while the facility remained fully operational so the company didn’t miss a beat during construction.
This $1.7+ million project consisted of providing a new 24 inch deep x 25 foot wide x 1,100 foot long reinforced concrete foundation to support the Coal Stacker/Reclaimer, which is used to stockpile coal offloaded from train cars and is critical to plant operations. The project consisted of 900 cubic yards of concrete to repair the existing foundation, along with the installation of 86 tons of reinforcing and pouring of an additional 2,000 cubic yards of concrete. Included in the foundation were 4,120 cast-in-place anchor bolts for 1,030 bolt settings. The project schedule was 35 calendar days, divided into two distinct phases to allow for the relocation of the Stacker/Reclaimer from the old foundation to the new foundation. Maertens-Brenny met this extremely tight schedule and completed the project in 33 days.
This project consisted of designing and building a new manufacturing facility within tight lot constraints. During the project we worked closely with city officials and the owner to successfully navigate variances that arose.
Maertens-Brenny has worked on several industrial construction projects for Cummins including pit-infill, concrete repairs, and office build-out work.
